TranscriptGot a new handle for Murray lawnmower; also a new Stevenson CD catalog & a Mozart CD, piano concertos 12 & 14, by Schiff & Végh. Replaced broken handle & got two gallons of gas; ready for mowing.
Sarah’s son Chris came by at 1 p.m. & borrowed $50 to help pay for an abortion for his (& god know who else’s) girl. Came back at 3 for another $50. I let him have it, on condition that he return to yardwork – deducting a certain amount each time to pay off the $100 debt. Doubtful he’ll return, but it seemed worth the risk. In evening, watched the second Hugs-lent Merchant-Ivory film, “Shakespeare Wallah.” Not as good as the other, mainly (for me) because it concerned India. |
