At 1.30 we all eight piled into van with luggage. Airport; re-cashed Barbadian money. Took off at 2.45; landed at LaGuardia at 6.35. Said goodbye on tarmac. Taxi to Marriot in preparation for early flight home tomorrow. Wretched meal — an inedible steak cut into strips; bad wine, watery mashed potatoes. Asleep by 11. |
