TranscriptPost Office; mailed Books-on-Tape (two signed copies) contract to Rosen; both video cassettes (Merchant-Ivory) back to Hugs in NY; a fine leather-bound copy of Civil War Vol. I, autographed at Walker’s request for a Tom Lowry Washington. Then to the bank; deposited $2,700 from Books on Tape, cashed $500 check – $375 of which went to Sarah for salary & house-sitting. On way home, got three blank audiocassettes; made a 60-min. one for Haydée – Kodaly’s & Britten’s solo cello pieces.
Walked 2 1/3 miles in 38 mins. – first exercise in about twelve days. Enjoyed it despite heat. Bunt called to find out whether we had made it through reported tornadoes around McComb yesterday afternoon – which explains the cloudburst. |
