Transcript“Village Voice”
Huger’s 30th birthday. He woke us at 9.30 wanting face cream. Left Pont Royal at 11.30, searched Rue Princess for stove shop, but learned in bookstore, Village Voice, that it had moved. Was glad to learn from desk that my books are in stock; made valuable contact for future sales, including the 3-Vol. War. Lunch again at Le Chai, then walked back to hotel. Called Mary Kling, my French agent; will see her for conference on Monday. Dinner in hotel, Les Antiquaires. Eggs en meurette superb. Paris is beautiful & I am beginning to feel at home, as on previous trips. |
